Portsmouthchurches.co.uk is the second website with this url. The brainchild of Rachel Poole and Sally Davis (Site Manager) the first site was paid for by Portsmouth Christians in Business and launched in 2002 as a \'gift\' to the wider church. It has now been rebuilt, bigger and better - paid for by modest subscriptions from churches, and the site\'s blueprint is being actively sold to UK cities and all over the world. The revenue from these sales is funding publicity of the Portsmouth site to local people.

The site is a window on Christian life in Portsmouth and the surrounding area. There are many great churches, of 16 denominations, all standing alongside each other. As the strapline of the site suggests - we are many congregations but one church. We are all part of the family of God. Click on the Christians in the City icon or \'City wide\' to find out how Christians are actively supporting many areas of city life, from education, finance, sport and more.

Run by Sally Davis and Richard Cavill, the website is \'accountable\' to a committee of Church Communications Officers which meets approximately monthly.
