'Transform Work Portsmouth' meets every First Wednesday
Did you know that TRANSFORM WORK PORTSMOUTH meets on the first Wednesday of every month (4th August; 1 Sep; 6 Oct;)? If you are a working Christian and want to meet others, and get encouragement on being 'salt and light' in the workplace, do join us. We meet at OASIS the Venue in Upper Arundel Street, Landport, Portsmouth from 5:45pm until 7pm. It's good to get to know each other and a good Word is always shared to encourage us in our daily work. Billy Graham said the next big move of God is coming through the workplace. Come and join us.
St Edmund's wins Faith & Football Enterprise challenge
The 2010 Annual ‘Faith & Football Social Enterprise & Business Challenge’ Award has been won by a team from St. Edmund’s school.

The all-girl team beat outstanding competition to be crowned the overall winners of this year’s challenge and to ensure their seat on the flight to Goa in November 2010. At a presentation event at Fratton Park, Linvoy Primus, who heads up the Faith & Football charity, presented the amazed young people with their award.

The Social Enterprise & Business Challenge encourages young people from Portsmouth secondary schools to form and create a business from scratch and to market and sell a product or service to raise funds for the charity’s work.

Faith & Football provides volunteer business mentors (all local Christians) who encourage the skills and talents in the young people to help develop them further and to identify the skills that they can use in their adult life.

The added ingredient with Faith & Football’s Social Enterprise & Business Challenge is that the profits that they raise will go to provide food, clothing and support to very young children in other countries that would otherwise be left to fend for themselves on the streets.
